JUNE 2007
VOL. III - No. 6 June 10, 2007 Online Since 1997

Welcome to our June Newsletter (better late then never).  On June 1 one of our servers (that handles site email and automatic account activation) was compromised. We did capture the address and info about the person that broke in and will be pursing it. We had to completely rebuild the server. We completed the rebuild on June 8. That is why we were slow responding to items the first week of June. We have put extra security features in place so this never happens again. Or server that contains user information was not accessed!

We have added a 11 minute complete ride through video of the Submarine Voyage. The Submarine Voyage closed in 1998. It has now been replaced by Finding Nemo: Submarine Voyage. Watch our video and compare what the original ride was like to the new attraction.

VIDEOS, VIDEOS, VIDEOS, Over 250,000 people have viewed our sample videos on 20 different video sites! We now have over 110 videos available along with 4 full length A Day At Disneyland videos. We have converted all of our videos to Flash format and making most of the videos available for download in MPEG format.

MORE AUDIO due to a kind DLDHistory member, Gina Draker, we have added 5 new audio clips: a 2 minute audio clip from 1995 of the Disneyland Monorail,  an audio clip of "Drunken Sailor" from the Sailing Ship Columbia, a minute and half clip of the banjo music from Pirates Of The Caribbean and an audio clip from Alice In Wonderland.  We also have added an audio clip from probably the strangest attraction ever to be at Disneyland: The Wizard Of Bras that was located on Main Street USA. We now have over 4 hours of Audio files!

We have added some interesting very rare scans from Disney Imagineer produced magazine: Imagineering For The Haunted about how WED created the Haunted Mansion, and The Weird World Of WED Imagineering very strange stuff.
We have added these scans to our Disneyland Print Ad Page

We also have added 20 new articles more than we have added in any one month this year. We now have over 600 Disneyland Articles!

Take a look at our progress in the complete redesign of the site. You also now a chance to Beta test the new design and let us know their thoughts. To switch to the Beta version of the site just click on the link at the top of any DLDHistory.com page. This is the first complete re-write of DLDHistory.com in over 3 years. And it is the first time we are beta testing the design.

We are working on a few new projects for next month:  More attraction videos.  Complete re-write of all of our pages for a more consistent look and feel. Also a change to the  navigation of the site. Watch for our July Newsletter for more information.

Have you missed one of our Newsletters? In this newsletter we have included links to our previous Newsletters.

I hope you enjoy our latest newsletter and I want to say a big THANK YOU to all that have made a donation, you are the ones that allow DLDHistory to continue growing
