 It has been very busy around here. We are now 90% W3c Complainant. We are working with a new author and a member that maybe supplying us with exclusive photos from the park. We have a heaps of parade photos and will adding them next month. We are going back over all of our archived articles and cross-referencing them to restaurants. We are constantly looking out for new content. We need your help by making a small donation to help keep the site alive and well. Please consider upgrading your account. DLander In Time: We have a new article from guest columnist: DLander In Time...Do you remember the Gift Giver Extraordinaire from the 80's. Would you like to know how it worked? DLander gives us an inside look... He first worked as a Disneyland Operations Supervisor, and then became head of the Imagineering Show/Ride team at Disneyland. He was involved with all of the park planning that took place from the mid 80's to mid 90's. His third installment is his story about the "Gift Giver Extraordinaire"  DLander In Time Column

New Videos: We have added 4 new videos. To compliment our complete walk through of Mickey's House we now have a complete walk through of Minnie's House! Would you like to ride Finding Nemo without standing in line and climbing into the sub? You can we now have a complete ride through of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.  One of the most popular attractions in Fantasyland is Peter Pan's Flight. The line for it can be over an hour long. Now we have a complete ride through video. Sit back in your favorite chair and ride through Peter Pan.. Main Street Cinema is can be a cool break while at Disneyland. You can go in and watch a few of Disney's Silent Cartoons. We now have a short video of of some of those cartoons.... and Much Much More!!  New Videos

Backstage Photos: We have added 22 new backstage photos: 11 photos of construction of Tarzan's Treehouse. These photos show how extensive the change was. 4 photos of the construction on the Carrousel Theatre to change it over from America Sings to Innoventions ..A great photo showing the construction to Space Mountain and Tomorrowland from 1997. A shot of the Star Tours control console. 2 rare photos showing the airplane warning lights on top of the Matterhorn and a photo showing the spot lights mounted to the top of Space Mountain. 2 extremely rare photos of the camera and crew that were used to create the Circle Vision films (thanks to Roy H Wagner ASC for the photos). . .. and Much Much More!!    New Backstage Photos

Onstage Photos: We have added 53 new onstage photos: 42 photos from Tomorrowland: Including: 10 very rare photos of The Disney Story Stage Show. This show was  performed at the Space Stage in the 1980's also 3 photos from Mickey Mouse Club Stage Show which was performed in the same theater. We have found a fun little item a shot of a Space Mountain bumper sticker. A great photo of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage taken from the top of the Matterhorn. A great photo of the entrance to Circle-Vision showing America The Beautiful during the construction of Tomorrowland in 1997. Also a photo of the flags that hung in the queue Circle-Vision was located where the entrance is to Buzz Lightyear is now. .5 photos from the not very exciting American Space Experience display. 10 photos from the queue of Rocket Rods. Including many of the blueprints that were hanging in the queue. These photos are rare due to the fact it was very hard to shoot inside the queue due to lighting. And 4 from on the ride. 2 photos of kids having fun in Cosmic Waves. The entrance to Magic Eye Theater showing Captain EO...2 EXTREMELY rare photos of the inside of Toy Story Funhouse. 5 photos from Fantasyland: Including a great photo looking down from the top of the Matterhorn and 2 of the best photos I know of of Harold the Abominable Snowman..2 photos of Storybook land and Casey Jr. Circus Train.  and lots more!! New Onstage Photos

Parade Photos: We have added 48 new Parade photos: 9 photos of Hercules Victory Parade. 21 photos of one of the best Disneyland Parades: Lion King Celebration which marched down Main Street U.S.A. in the mid to late 1990's. On the opposite extreme there was Light Magic Parade which we have added 13 photos. 2 photos of Totally Minnie Parade. And 2 from the Mulan Parade. New Parade Photos

GUEST COLUMNIST "DLander In Time"

The year 1985 was a pivotal one for Disneyland, and it really set the stage for the following year, which the Marketing team aptly named, “Looks Like We Started Something! Disneyland  ‘86”. The new Eisner-Wells team had been busy the two previous years turning on a ton of work, and a lot of it would show up in ’86. The “GiftGiver Extraordinaire” was continued over, but this time instead of every 30th guest winning, for the next nine months every guest won something every day! The prizes ranged from free popcorn, juice bars, Disneyland Passports, Disney home movie video cassettes (this was before DVD’s), Kodak cameras, Mickey Mouse collectable watch, round-trip PSA airline ticket, 25-inch RCA TV, a collectible Mickey pin, and a 1986 Pontiac Firebird. A computer at the main entrance ticket office was programmed so that every morning, a Main Entrance Manager would enter in that days projected attendance and park hours. The computer would then randomly select which turnstile at what time would deliver a prize. For example, to award a Kodak camera at 1015 hours at turnstile number 12, the computer energized that turnstile so that whenever the turnstile paddle was turned a millisecond after that time, a ticket was printed out with the Kodak camera award printed directly on it. The Cast Member read the award, handed the ticket to the guest congratulating them. Now when the grand prize was awarded each day of the car...

This show was  performed at the Space Stage (about where Magic Eye Theater is now) in the 1980's also 3 photos from Mickey Mouse Club Stage Show which was performed in the same theater.
