Welcome to our March 2009 newsletter. Our 2K9 version of DLDHistory is ahead of schedule we are about 90% completed. Our Premium, Silver, Bronze and GOLD members can start using the new interface. For all others we have included some screen shots. We are still projecting May 2009 for the site to be switched over to the new interface. Keep an eye on our newsletters for updates.

We have a guest columnist: Robert Baca. Robert is a southern California local. He worked at Disneyland in Anaheim California from 1995 to 2003 as an Attractions Cast Member. Robert will be giving us a behind the scenes look at the Rivers Of America. His first installment is his story about the Big Thunder Mountain Accident that happened on September 5 2003. We have added 4 new videos: A complete video of American Journeys that played in the Circle Vision in Tomorrowland from 1984-1996. The video was filmed in 1994 and is 4 minutes long. Great video clip although very short of the Viewliner which circled Tomorrowland from 1957-1958. A short silent video clip of Mr. Toads Wild Ride taken in 1982, before the refurbishment of Fantasyland. A complete ride through video of Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin. Including the queue. The video is 7 and half minutes long.

Hello to all you Disneyland lovers out there. My name is Robert. I wanted to share with all you fans my stories. I am going to tell you of some adventures while working at Disneyland that will knock your socks off. See, as a child I wanted to spend every moment at the park, and that’s what I did. It all started for me when my father took me to a private company party back in the early 80’s, when GM and Hughes Aircraft merged. It was then that I made a promise to myself that I would work at Disneyland one day. So when I turned 18, I became a part of the magic and was assigned to the attractions department. From that day forth, I experienced and saw many things and was involved with events at Disneyland that I never before thought could occur. From late 1995 to 2003 the Disneyland magic changed in my eyes and would continue to be distorted over time.
