Announced at the D23 Expo in August of last year, Carnation Plaza Gardens at Disneyland park was scheduled to be reimagined into the new Fantasy Faire – an enchanting village square that will immerse guests in the stories of their favorite princesses. The construction was to have begun in September 2011, but for some reason never took place.

It has now been recently announced that at the end of the Disneyland park operating day on April 30th, Carnation Plaza Gardens will now officially close for the transformation.

And the swing dancing on Saturday nights will temporarily move to a new location. Starting May 5th, the swing dancing continues at the Westside Stage in the Downtown Disney District. This should prove to be a bigger draw since no admission price is required at Downtown Disney.

As for the Disney's Community Arts Showcase, which many schools and colleges have participated in over the years, will be moving to the The Festival Arena area of Big Thunder Ranch to be a part of the new Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree beginning in early May.
