The forecast for the Disneyland Resort, Anaheim and even Los Angeles is wet with plenty of more rain to come. Rain is to drop daily until Wednesday and there isn't any doubt this will be an issue if you decide to enjoy Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure right up to Christmas Eve.
Some of our Disney sources emailed us to remind us that guests could save a boat load of cash stopping by the store on the way to the Resort (boat load raining sorry we couldn't help ourselves on that pun.) Picking up a few essential items prior to hitting the parking lot, you will save BIG money.
One suggestion that was made is buying a rain slicker or poncho at the Dollar Tree or a Dollar Store located all over Orange County. At the park, our source tells us the same item will be around $10. Make the stop and pay a $1. A considerable difference in price will be noticed in your pocket book and you won't have to worry if you decide to trash it at the end of the night.
Another suggestion we got was bring boots for the kids. Goulashes aren't out of season in Los Angeles in December. Plenty of people will need them this week so a quick run to a department store will save you tons of stopping and changing socks while walking around the park.
If you get cold hands quickly (or little ones who might) this is another item to pick up. Both the Dollar Store and the 99 Cent Store have gloves in stock (we just called to ask.)
Bring a couple of free plastic grocery bags to have in case something gets so wet it needs to be taken off. Otherwise you will be walking around with a wet garment that just drips.
There are ponchos, gloves, hats and scarves at the Disneyland Resort for purchase, but it will be at full price and after tearing around the park, they might be perfect for future use. Stopping by a local store and picking up a few items will save big money.
As for the rain, bring it on! The Disney Parade was filmed two weeks ago and there is nothing like running between the rain drops (with your poncho of course.)
