Disney installed a bank of 20 lockers to charge your gadgets as a test along Main Street U.S.A. with options for a traditional AC outlet or specialized chargers for your iPhone and other mobile gadgets.

It's $2 for an hour, and you pay up front. Swipe your card, create a passcode and return within an hour or you have to pay again before you can unlock the locker and get your gadget.

I wonder whether people would use these chargers. It's not so much the price as the convenience I question.

For example, putting cell phone chargers in the locker area on Main Street puts them pretty far out of the way from the attractions and an hour is not all the much time if you want to eat somewhere nice. Why not put a couple of them in a hidden alcove at the nice restaurants or near the exit area for Disney's most popular attractions?

You'd stick your gadgets inside to let them charge while you wait in line or eat a nice meal. When you're done, your gadget is waiting with a new breath of life.
